Abingdon Auto Auction is a six-lane, dealer-only auto auction spanning 70 acres conveniently located between Interstate 81 and US Hwy 11 in Bristol, Virginia. We proudly attract buyers and sellers from surrounding states, including North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Since opening on October 30, 2009, we have remained an independently owned and operated NAAA auction facility. Our live and online sales are conducted every Thursday, featuring first-class auctioneers with decades of industry experience. Abingdon Auto Auction is equipped to handle all your transportation needs. Our fleet includes three 7-car haulers, three 9-car haulers, four rollbacks, a Landoll trailer, and a 50-ton Challenger trailer, ready to manage vehicles or heavy equipment of any size. Whatever your transportation requirements, we’ve got you covered.

Reconditioning Center/Mechanic Shop

Our Reconditioning and Mechanic Shop now features nine fully operational bays, thanks to the recent addition of five new bays. This state-of-the-art facility offers a wide range of reconditioning and mechanic services to keep your vehicles in top condition.

History

Abingdon Auto Auction was founded by Mike Anderson, who previously owned an auto auction in Bristol, Tennessee. After successfully running that business for five years, Mike sold it to CoPart in February 2009. Recognizing his passion for the industry, he immediately began developing the site for Abingdon Auto Auction, which officially opened in October 2009.

Mike, along with James and Joanna Anderson, remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring the auction maintains its commitment to quality and service.
